The Onset of Spring


The seaweed and flotsam 

from the winter seas are 

still everwhere. Scattered 

sand on the tarmac.


It’s late February and 

the temperature has finally

lifted.


Snow drops and celandine 

are flowering, the daffodils are

just emerging. 


It seems we are at 

the onset of Spring
